Maulding Adoption

Maulding Adoption
Gene and Jessica Maulding have 2 small children of their own already but God has put it on their hearts to adopt a little girl name Alondra from Mexico. They have finally got the ok from the Mexican government but they have been told to get Alondra they must adopt all 3 girls. So their family for 4 is about to become a family of 7! Here is a small part of their story; We decided to adopt Alondra (now 3 years old) in November of 2012. At the time she was 23 months old. She and her sisters had been HORRIBLY abused by their step-father and their mother allowed it. The children were taken away and placed at the Bethel orphanage in Juarez, MX.  When we started the process, we heard another family wanted to adopt the older girls so we pressed forward with adopting only Alondra. Throughout this process, we never felt God telling us to adopt all three. However over the past few months, God started pushing us to adopt Julissa (5). She spends a lot of time with us when we visit the orphanage. It felt natural to adopt her, too. Another family was wanting to adopt Valeria (7) if the MX government would allow the girls to be split.
We were given from MX to adopt but they wanted us to take all three girls. This threw us for a loop. We weren't prepared for all three girls. We didn't believe that was the plan. We were told to take 3 weeks and pray before we made a decision.
After soul searching, discussing, and praying, we decided the best thing to do was ask Valeria (why this didn't occur to us until now, I don't know) what she wanted. Did she want to be with her sisters or did she want a family of her own. Her response was to stay with her sisters. At that very moment, we committed to all three girls. Neither of us had the heart to break the heart of a 7 year old.

God was in complete control over this process. We would have run for the hills had he told us to adopt all 3 girls from the beginning. He knew we needed to fall in love with one, then two, and now three. I love how he knows us and how he presents issues to us. He is such a wonderful Father. Never giving us more than we could handle at one time.

What a wonderful adventure we are embarking on!

Educational Fund

In Kenya, the educational year is divided into 3 terms. Each term costs $700. In addition, each student needs $300 for a mattress to sleep on, a school uniform, food, etc. On holidays, the students stay at the orphanage. The grand total for an educational year is $2400. To get a student started, we need to raise $1000.

Romero Adoption

Romero Family Adoption

Joseph and Christie have been married for 16 years and have 5 children. With  having 5 children the thought of adopting never crossed their minds, however GOD HAS OTHER PLANS!
Their journey began when Christie's husband who is Active Duty Air Force was deployed to Africa. He started volunteering at a local orphanage on the weekends. God broke their hearts for these children and he placed in our hearts a desire to adopt a child from Africa. Their family is silly and busy and loving and sometimes a mess but at the end of the day we are a FAMILY! They want nothing more than to share this love with a child who wants and deserves to be loved.
They know that God had called them to adopt a child so they started putting a little money back here and there and decided "someday" they would be able
to afford it. $30,000 is a lot of money to save!

So that brings us to now, how will they come up with all the money that they need to bring home the little piece of their heart that God has already chosen to be a part of the family?

God wants us to trust him with every piece of this process and I KNOW that he
would not lead us to this if he did not already have a perfect plan to get us through this! I am so excited to watch HIS plan unfold. So we ask you our friends and family to step out in faith with us and help us raise the money to bring our child home.

Thank you in advance to all of you for partnering with us on this exciting journey!!

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.  Joshua 1:9
